Calgary Arts Development has launched the Arts Spaces Investment Process for groups and individuals wishing to secure city land or funding for capital projects that create new arts space.
Grants
Calgary Arts Development operates an Operating Grant Program for arts organizations and a Special Project Grant Program for individual artists, ad-hoc groups and organizations.
Who We Fund
Calgary Arts Development invests in 119 organizations of all artistic disciplines through annual operating grants. In addition, we invest in 25-50 special projects in a given year.

About Community Investment at Calgary Arts Development:
Calgary Arts Development invests municipal arts funding from the City of Calgary to support operating costs and special projects for arts organizations in Calgary. Formerly these programs were offered by the Calgary Region Arts Foundation (CRAF), which merged with Calgary Arts Development on October 31, 2006, and has since dissolved.
Calgary Arts Development's 2008 Strategic Plan outlines that Community Investment programs will ensure:
- Calgary arts organizations and artists have the opportunity to flourish in an environment with a stable base of resources and infrastructure.
- The Provision of a service-oriented and responsive set of granting programs that maximize the public and artistic impact of municipal investments.
