THE 2010 CALGARY INTERNATIONAL CHILDREN’S FESTIVAL: CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS
The Calgary International Children’s Festival (CICF), presented by Qualico Communities, is now accepting applications to fill various positions during the 2010 Festival (May 25-29). The Festival, North America’s third largest performing arts festival of its kind, is held at the EPCOR CENTRE for the Performing Arts and on Olympic Plaza.
The Festival requires a devoted force of approximately 600 volunteers to make this five-day event fun, safe and affordable. CICF is currently looking for youth volunteers, ages 14 and up, and adult volunteers to fill numerous day, evening and weekend shifts during the Festival (starting on May 24).
The 2010 Calgary International Children's Festival Volunteer Program is presented by TransCanada Pipelines.

Seeking Volunteers for AGCcooks – The Art of Cuisine, April 14, 2010
The Biggest and Yummiest Event of the Year!
What is AGCcooks?
AGCcooks is a tasty celebration showcasing some of Calgary and area’s top Chefs in a friendly culinary competition. The Art Gallery of Calgary (The AGC) will be transformed into a kitchen stadium on Wednesday April 14, 2010 for our annual fundraiser. Each Chef will create a four-course feast utilizing a secret ingredient chosen by Calgary food writer and CBC restaurant critic John Gilchrist. Guests will dine on one of these exceptional meals, with each course being accompanied by fine wines expertly paired by the restaurant’s sommelier. All proceeds from the event will support the AGC’s renowned public and education programming (K-12).Volunteers will make it happen! We require:
April 13 (Set Up) 5pm-10pm – 10-12 volunteers needed
Duties may include:
-cleaning
-setting up tables, chairs, stanchions, etc.
-general set up and preparation for the big nightApril 14 (Event) 3pm-12am – 4 volunteers needed
4pm-12am – 10-12 volunteers needed
Duties may include:
-registration (greeting, ticket taking)
-coat check
-floaters (checking washrooms, clearing glasses and garbage, extra hands to chefs, etc)
-bartenders (2-4)

Canadian Music Centre Recruiting Board Members
The Canadian Music Centre, Prairie Region is celebrating its 30th Anniversary this year and is looking for an individual with accounting background (designation preferred) to fill the role of Treasurer on the Regional Council/Board of Directors.
Duties involve advising the association on financial matters and reporting on them at two meetings per year. Be aware that the CMC has a full-time Controller at the national office in Toronto and a part-time bookeeper in the regional office in Calgary. This is an interesting position as the organization's budget is small (<$300,000), but the accounts are complex due to the large mumber of special projects in which the association is involved.
