  ATTRACTION DISPLAY WALL offered at no cost
  to Alberta public not for profit or government custodial institution!

  In accordance with Disposition of Museum Collection and Objects Policy 1996, the Creative Kids Museum at TELUS World of Science – Calgary is seeking a museum, gallery, interpretive site or other public institution to become the new owner of the art piece entitled Attraction Display Wall. (Please see attached document for a photo).

  The Attraction Display Wall is an art piece that incorporates light, kinetic elements and sound inter-actives for children, designed and created by Carol May and Tim Watkins in 2006. It has been a popular interactive for visitors in the foyer of the Creative Kids Museum, often becoming a photo shoot background. Unfortunately, the space it has occupied is being reallocated and no other space can be found for it within the building. It is available immediately.

  It is 18 feet wide, 9 feet high and 16 inches deep and it weighs about 250 lbs. The backing support is wood, and the large attached elements are aluminum and Plexiglass. The smaller collaged elements consist of computer boards, hub caps and various kitchen utensils. There is a steel structure that bolts to the wall and the panels attach to this structure. The supporting wall does not need special reinforcement, but it does need an electrical outlet. The 3-dimensional elements detach and the backing comes apart and can be shipped as 4 panels.

  There would be a minimal cost for shipping. Help may be available for reinstalling.

  Picture this...film festival is Canada's first international disability festival.

  Celebrate 8!

  We would love to see you at Picture this...international disability film festival being held February 9-11, 2009 at La Joie De Vivre, 1008 - 14 St. S.E., Calgary, Alberta!  This is our eighth year of presenting great films by and about people with disabilities to Calgary audiences and beyond. Eighty films were submitted to this year’s festival from 15 countries around the world, including Israel, Bangladesh, Scotland, Poland, Ireland and Greece, to name a few! To find out more about our wonderful festival and our year-round library, please visit our website at www.ptff.org.
