Contract COURSE DEVELOPER COSTUME CUTTING AND CONSTRUCTION MAJOR Salary: $30.00 per hour The School of Business has an opportunity for a contract Course Developer for the Costume Cutting and Construction major within the Apparel Technology diploma program. This position will appeal to a wardrobe person in the performing arts industry who is looking for a short term contract which provides the freedom to creatively apply their knowledge of costume cutting and construction to the development of course instructional plans and materials. The anticipated term of this contract is January 5, 2009 to May 31, 2009. Responsibilities include development of course competency profiles, outlines, and instructional plans to be used by instructors at Olds College. This course development will be supported by the Olds College instructional design department and will require collaboration with the Apparel Technology instructional team in order to develop materials that meet specific learning outcomes. The successful candidate will have post-secondary education in Costume Cutting and Construction and the equivalent of at least three years of full-time experience in the theatre wardrobe environment. Individuals with other combinations of education, training and experience may be considered. Exceptional communication skills and superior organizational abilities are essential.
